I was asked by my friends at Flat Vernacular to design a pattern for their Flatmates program, where they collaborate with outside designers to create custom wallpaper. They asked me to create something based around the Texas state flower, the Bluebonnet—and the result was a wall full of bookshelves chock full of Texas easter eggs, and with bouquets of bluebonnets on every shelf. The shelves were illustrated separately so that they can be mixed and matched to be different every time.
